NEW BOSTON – Whiteford had four medalists in the New Boston Invitational Saturday – Braelynn Chiotti, Briar Wing, Molly Fojtik and Grant Rasor, who all ran in the top 35.

“The girls ran well,” Whiteford coach Jay Yockey said. “Pretty much everyone who ran hit a new PR which is always expected at such a great course like Willow Metro Park.”

Yockey was particularly pleased with Fojtik and Sierra DeBarr.

“Both are new to the high school team and are truly learning how to race and both took over a minute off their previous best,” Yockey said. “This is great after racing three times in one week.”

The Bobcats race at the Al Navarro Invite at Gerber Hill Park Tuesday.

“We’ll approach that race differently,” Yockey said. “It’ll be our fourth race in less than two weeks.”
