OTTAWA LAKE – Whiteford and Edon will face off Friday as the Bobcats and Bombers play for the top spot in the Toledo Area Athletic Conference.
The league race will be far from over with three league games left but with both teams coming in with 3-0 league records – and the last undefeated teams in the league – it’s definitely a big game.
“This year’s Bobcat club is loaded with talent,” Edon coach Bob Olwin said. “Each player is very aggressive and goes all out until the whistle blows. Whiteford’s special teams make it difficult to get yards on returns. Whiteford is a very good football team and is well coached.”
Both offenses have been outstanding all season.
Edon is averaging 33.8 points a game.
Whiteford is the third-highest scoring team in the state of Michigan at 50.2 points a game.
