OTTAWA LAKE – Dundee outscored Whiteford 12-6 in the second quarter to provide just enough margin to squeeze past the Bobcats Tuesday, 37-29.
It was the season debut for Whiteford and coaching debut of first-year head coach Nick Kopp.
“I thought Dundee did a great job imposing their will on the boards and offensively,” Kopp said. “I think that this was a good learning experience for our girls. We are young still and the girls can take a lot away from this.”
Avy Wood led Whiteford with 8 points while Briar Wing added 7.
