Schroyer’s Bucket Gives Bobcats OT victory

OTTAWA LAKE – Caden Schroyer sank a 3-point bucket from deep in the corner Tuesday to give the Whiteford Bobcats a 68-65 overtime win over Plymouth Christian.

Plymouth Christian tied the game at 65-65 with just under 20 seconds left in overtime. The Bobcats worked the clock down to the final seconds and found Schroyer for the open look.

“The boys executed a play that got Caden the ball in the corner and he swished a 3-pointer as the buzzer sounded,” Whiteford coach Jordan Bollin said. “I’m very proud of how hard we played.”

Schroyer finished with 11 points.

Cole Griffith led the way with 20 points and Luke Henegar scored 12, including a big 3-pointer in overtime. Henegar made the pass to Schroyer for the game-winner.

Whiteford is 3-0.
