Bobcats fall to Lincoln

NEWPORT – Whiteford lost 33-25 Friday afternoon to Ypsilanti Lincoln in the first game of a two-day tournament at Jefferson.

The Bobcats got 8 points from Macy Ovall.

“Today’s game was hard-fought, and we made too many mistakes on the offensive side of the ball,” said Whiteford coach Nick Kopp. “Once we eliminate those mistakes, I think the season will drastically change.”

Ovall had a big game at both ends of the court.

“If she keeps putting in work, she will be a very solid piece for this program going forward,” Kopp said.

The Bobcats play Jefferson today.
