Whiteford Falls to Summerfield at Home

OTTAWA LAKE – Summerfield bolted out of the fourth quarter gates Tuesday with a 7-0 run and outscored the Bobcats 13-2 in the final eight minutes to avenge a December loss.

The Bobcats made just one field goal in the fourth quarter after forging a tie going into the final stanza.

Josh Horak tied the game at 33-33 with a triple with 33 seconds left in the third quarter. Brody St. John scored on an inside bucket with 6:06 left for a 35-33 Bulldog lead, then added a 3-pointer a minute later. Clark Ciacelli scored on a pass from Rylee Schiffler with 3:24 left to make it 42-33, forcing a Bobcat timeout.

St. John finished with 13 points while Easton LaPoint scored 12 for the 9-4 Bulldogs.

Whiteford (10-3) was led by Caden Schroyer’s 10 points.
