OTTAWA LAKE – Whiteford picked up a non-conference win Wednesday, beating Ida 48-40.
The Bobcats led by as many as 15 points before the Bluestreaks mounted a comeback and cut the game to 45-40 with 2:43 left in the fourth quarter.
“We knew before the game it was going to be a battle of pace,” Whiteford coach Jordan Bollin said. “Ida is so stingy in the half court defensively.”
Caden Schroyer scored 16 points, Drew Ruddy and Cole Griffith each scored 9 and Luke Henegar chipped in with 7. For Ruddy it was a career high.
The Bobcats are back in action Saturday when they host Erie Mason. The JV game will start at noon.
