SALINE – Whiteford’s girls basketball team lost to Saline Washtenaw Christian Monday 71-35 in a non-league game.
The Bobcats got a career high 16 points from Macy Ovall in the loss.
Whiteford coach Nick Kopp was impressed by Washtenaw Christian.
“They are a blueprint for success in high school hoops,” he said. “I give tons of credit to their coaches and leadership for how they get their girls to play. On our end, we just need to clean up the turnovers and turn up the effort and intensity and get back to what we can be.”
Whiteford (4-13) is at Britton Deerfield Friday the have three home games to close the regular season.
