OTTAWA LAKE – Whiteford’s girls basketball team closed the season Wednesday with a 59-37 loss in the Division 3 district semifinals.

Monroe SMCC jumped out to a 13-7 lead after the first quarter and outscored the Bobcats in all four quarters.

Avy Wood led Whiteford with 21 points, a career high.

The Bobcats end the season 7-15 under first-year head coach Nicholas Kopp.
