“We had some stand-out performances on the guy’s side,” Bobcat coach Jay Yockey said. “We swept all the relay events, swept the 400, and earned first in the pole vault. Brek Ruddy hit a new PR in the first meet of the season with a 13’6.” We have a lot of fine tuning to do, and I know we will continue to grow and get better as a team.”
Whiteford’s girls got firsts in two relays, Nina Bauman won the discus, Carolyn Mohler the pole vault, Koralynn Billau took the 100 and Brielle White won 200.
“The girls had some great performances as well and will continue to get better as the season goes. We have to rely on every girl for every point we earn.”
Whiteford will host the Bobcat Legacy Relays Saturday.
The nine-team field starts at 9:30 a.m. and running starts at 10:30 a.m.
