OTTAWA LAKE – Whiteford’s girls varsity basketball team came up a couple points short in its non-league game with Ann Arbor Greenhills Tuesday.
The Gryphons overcame a 32-29 Bobcat lead to start the fourth quarter by outscoring Whiteford 16-11 in the final period.
Baylee Baldwin continued her solid start to the season with 14 points while Lauren Walker scored 11 points. Lindsey Walker chipped in with eight.
The JV Bobcats won 43-12. Ten different Bobcats scored, including Madie Lee who had 8 points.
The JV and Varsity Bobcats are back in action Friday when they take on Summerfield in the Tri-County Conference season opener.
