Whiteford’s girls basketball team is tied atop the TCC standings with a 2-0 record after beating Britton Deerfield 54-36 Tuesday.
The Bobcats were in control of this one from the start, jumping out to an 18-8 lead after the first eight minutes. The Bobcats went to the free throw line 28 times, compared to 12 for the Patriots.
Baylee Baldwin scored 17 points and Lauren Walker 16 for the 2-2 Bobcats (2-0 in the TCC).
Jozie Scott scored 14 points while Megan Bower and Olivia Warner had 10 points apiece to lead BD (2-3 overall, 1-1 in the TCC).
The Bobcats also took the JV game, 47-17. Alexus Peake scored 10 for the Bobcats.
