Whiteford outscored Monroe 26-4 in the second quarter Tuesday and went on to beat the Trojans 77-61 in the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
Cameron Iott led the Bobcats with 29 points – 11 in that decisive second quarter. Thomas Eitniear scored 10 points in that quarter, including two 3-pointers, on his way to 17 points for the game. Hunter Lake added 14 points and Antonio DiTerlizzi seven.
Whiteford, the No. 10 ranked team in the latest Associated Press Class C poll, is 13-2 and host Sand Creek Friday. With a win, the Bobcats will clinch a share of the TCC championship.
