The Whiteford Bobcats have climbed to the No. 4 spot in the latest Class C Associated Press boys basketball poll.
It’s the highest ranking for the Bobcats since being ranked No. 3 on Feb. 21, 1989.
The Bobcats are 16-2 and riding a 12-game win streak. They have completed a 13-0 TCC season and play their final regular season game Thursday at Ann Arbor Greenhills. The TCC game vs. Morenci was postponed and will not be made up.
Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central, who is entered in the same Class C District as Whiteford, is the No. 1 ranked team in the same poll. SMCC is 18-0. Whiteford opens District play by hosting Britton Deerfield on Monday, March 5.
