Lenawee Christian scored five times in the fifth inning and three in the sixth to beat state-ranked Whiteford, 10-5, Monday in a non-league game in Adrian.
The Bobcats trailed 1-0 after the first inning and 2-0 after the third before putting up one in the fourth and three in the top of the fifth to take a 4-2 lead. That’s when LCS mounted a comeback.
Andrew Toda got the start for the Bobcats and was relieved after three innings and allowing three hits and one earned run. Nolan Adams pitched 2.2 innings, allowing three hits and five runs, but none of them earned. Antonio DiTerlizzi got one out for the Bobcats, giving up four hits and three runs.
DiTerlizzi and Adams each had two hits while Thomas Eitniear had a double for the Bobcats, who are 10-3 on the season.
The Bobcats host Madison Wednesday in Tri-County Conference action.
