Whiteford’s softball team delivered another regional championship Saturday, as the Bobcats swept through the Hudson regional in fashion, beating Burr Oak 14-1 and North Adams-Jerome 9-3 to win its 13th all-time regional championship.
The Bobcats will compete in the state softball quarterfinals Tuesday at Battle Creek.
In the championship game against the Rams, Lindsey Walker got things started with a solo home run in the first inning and a bases-loaded single by Madison Durden gave the Bobcats a 4-0 lead in the fifth.
The Bobcats are 23-12-1. The Bobcats will take on the winner of the Centreville vs. Kalamazoo Christian regional final at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bailey Park.
