OTTAWA LAKE — Whiteford is helping to usher in a new era of football this week when the Stryker Panthers travel to Ottawa Lake to take on the 1-0 Bobcats.
Stryker re-started football this year after not having a varsity football team since the 1930s. They lost in their season opener, a 57-14 loss to Holgate.
Whiteford started the season with a win over the Blissfield Royals and take on Stryker in its second non-league game of the year. The Bobcats are the only Tri-County Conference team in action tonight. The rest of the league played Thursday night in varsity contests.
