OTTAWA LAKE — The regular season still has three weeks to go, but the Whiteford Bobcats are already locked-in for a post-season playoff berth after winning for the sixth time this season, 50-8 over Morenci.

The Bobcats had two 100-yard rushers and more than 430 yards of total offense in the win.

Zack Bertz had all 100 of his rushing yards in the first quarter, when he broke loose on touchdown runs of 19 and 76 yards. Hunter Lake had two rushing touchdowns and 104 yards rushing himself while Logan Murphy caught a 67-yard pass from Ty Eitniear for another score. Eitniear added a rushing touchdown and Devon Shaw also found the goal line for the Bobcats, who are 4-0 in the TCC.

The Bobcats ran just 32 plays on offense.

DeShaun Williams was in on nine tackles and Nathan Bauman eight. Brodi Tesznar had a fumble recovery for Whiteford.

The Bobcats have won 20 straight games, 24 straight regular season games and 21 straight at home. They have clinched a playoff spot for a school-record seventh consecutive season.
