Bobcats No. 3 in final AP poll

Whiteford’s football team has completed the 2018 regular season by being ranked No. 3 in the final Associated Press statewide football poll for Division 7.

The Bobcats will play in the Division 8 playoffs beginning Friday at 7 p.m. when they host Lenawee Christian, who finished the season tied for the No. 1 spot in the AP Division 8 poll.

Whiteford landed in the Division 7 poll because the Associated Press projects every school in Michigan into a division for poll purposes prior to the season. At the time, it was unknown what division the Bobcats would be in for the playoffs.

The playoff district the Bobcats are in also includes Reading, ranked No. 6 in the Division 7 poll and Pittsford, ranked No. 8 in Division 8 poll.
