OTTAWA LAKE – Whiteford’s Athletic Hall of Fame will welcome nine new members next month, bringing the total number of Bobcat athletes and coaches enshrined to 163.
The 2019 Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held on Friday, Feb. 8, 2019. Whiteford’s boys and girls varsity basketball teams will host Sand Creek.
Honored will be eight current Whiteford senior athletes and one that graduated last year.
Baylee Baldwin, First Team All-State softball in 2018
Bradyn Clark-Gilmore, First Team All-State football in 2018
Karsyn Berns-Moore, First Team All-State softball in 2018
Zack Bertz, Second Team All-State football in 2017
Hunter Lake, named Second Team All-State in football in 2017 and First Team in 2018
Logan Murphy, a two-time First Team All-State football player (2017, 2018)
Lindsey Walker, a two-time First Team All-State softball player (2017, 2018)
DeShaun Williams, First Team All-State football in 2018
Andrew Toda, First Team All-State baseball in 2018. Andrew is a 2018 Whiteford graduate.
A brief ceremony will be held immediately following the varsity girls game against Sand Creek on Feb. 8. Each honoree will receive a certificate. At the close of the school year, a plaque will be put on display outside of the gymnasium in honor of each athlete’s accomplishments.
The Whiteford High School Athletic Hall of Fame was formed in the 1980s by then-athletic director John Flynn.
