Braydn Clark-Gilmore, who helped the Whiteford football team win a state championship in 2017 and became the school’s all-time leading receiver, has signed to play college football at Albion College.
Clark-Gilmore played three seasons with the Bobcat varsity, starting his sophomore season. He was a running back and outside linebacker his sophomore season and into the start of his junior year when he was moved to tight end after week three. The position suited him perfectly as he set a Bobcat single season record for touchdown receptions with 10 in 2017.
After his 2018 season he was named All-State by the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association. He finished his career with 43 catches for a school record 1,244 yard and 20 touchdowns – also a Bobcat record.
At Albion, Clark-Gilmore is expected to play outside linebacker. The Britons are coached by former Britton Deerfield football player Dustin Beurer, a two-time All-Tri-County Conference player while playing for BD.
