Aggies hand Whiteford first league softball setback as teams split DH

SAND CREEK – Whiteford split its TCC doubleheader with Sand Creek Monday, winning 10-9 in the opener but dropping a 16-6 decision in the second game.

Lindsey Walker picked up the win in the first game and took the loss in the second.

In the win, the Bobcats led 10-3 going into the final inning but the Aggies rallied for six runs. Milly Iott had two singles and five RBIs, Madison Durden had three singles and a double, Baylee Baldwin had three hits and scored four times and Karsyn Berns-Moore had a single and double.

In the second game, Baldwin had two singles and a double, Jessica Link had a single and home run and Berns-Moore had two more hits.

The Bobcats committed six errors in each game.

Whiteford is 19-2 overall and 9-1 in the TCC. They have an upcoming doubleheader Wednesday against Clinton who has three TCC losses along with Madison. Whiteford also has two games remaining on the schedule against Whitmore Lake.
