WHITMORE LAKE — The Whiteford Bobcats wrapped up its 12th all-time Tri-County Conference softball championship Tuesday by sweeping Whitmore Lake in a double header, 14-1 and 15-0.
In the two games, Lindsey Walker had two singles, a triple and home run; Karsyn Berns-Moore had four singles and two RBIs and Milly Iott had four singles and scored five runs.
Walker was the winner in the first game and Berlynn Keller was the winner in the nightcap. Walker gave up four hits and struck out seven while Keller allowed just one hit in her outing.
The game was moved from Whitmore Lake High School to the school’s old fields. It’s the final Whiteford trip to Whitmore Lake with the Trojans a member of the TCC.
Bobcat coach Kris Hubbard now has 12 softball titles and 25 all-time TCC championships, second most in league history behind Sand Creek’s Ernie Ayers.
The 25-3 Bobcats finished 12-2 in the TCC, two games ahead of Clinton (10-4).
