BLISSFIELD — The Bobcats improved to 27-3 with a doubleheader sweep of Blissfield, 14-1 and 6-5.
In the second game, the Bobcats were down 5-2 in the top of the seventh when they rallied for the win.
Karsyn Berns-Moore walked, Baylee Baldwin bunted for a single and Lindsey Walker followed that up with a hit which scored Berns-Moore. Milly Iott was safe on an error that scored Baldwin to make it 5-4. Madison Durden singled and Walker scored on a throwing error and Iott scored on a sacrifice by Sophia Dauterman, putting the Bobcats in front 6-5.
Then, in the bottom of the seventh, with Walker in the circle, Jessica Link made a game-saving, diving catch in left.
For the day, Baldwin had five singles and a double with two RBIs and four runs scored. Berns-Moore had three singles and a double, Walker had two singles and two doubles and Durden had three singles and four RBIs.
Walker picked up the victory in both games.
Whiteford is at Ida Tuesday for a doubleheader and tune-up for Districts which are Saturday, June 1.
