Bobcats fall to record-setting Bears

OTTAWA LAKE — Whiteford had its highest offensive output of the season Tuesday and put three players in double figures but fell to a record-setting Jefferson Bears basketball team.

The Bears won 100-68, setting a school record for points in a game, eclipsing the former record of 94. Jefferson junior Jackson Barath also set the school scoring record for the Bears, pouring in 41 points, breaking a school record that was set in 1964.

For the Bobcats, Austin Wynn (17) and Eli Dyer (14) both had season highs and Luke Masserant added 13 points.

Whiteford will take a 2-17 record into Thursday’s regular season final against Dundee.
