Today would have been the final day of class for the 2020 seniors at Whiteford. Six of those athletes were returning letter winners and a seventh was a first-year track & field athlete. WhitefordBobcatSports.com is honoring those spring sports seniors who missed the 2020 season due to Covid-19:
MALLORY SIMMONS
Simmons would have been a four-year softball player with the Bobcats had the 2020 season taken place.
She finished her career by appearing in 81 games and accumulating 59 hits, including a home run.
“A quiet leader that led by setting a positive example on and off the field,” Whiteford softball coach Matt VanBrandt said. “Mal’s work in the offseason showed in our limited practices, and she would have been our best power hitter in the lineup.”
