The Whiteford Bobcats cross country teams will compete Friday in the Jefferson Bear Invite.
The Bobcats competed in the Britton Deerfield Invitational at Gerber Hill Park near Deerfield on Saturday. The boys finished third with 56 points in the meet, which was won by Lenawee Christian.
For the Bobcats, Keegan Masters finished fourth (19:05), Elliott Rodgers ninth (19:58), Cole Crouch 12th (20:56), Ryan Oberle 13th (21:17), Nick Oberle19th (22:51) and Cooper Bieber 21st (25:08).
For the Whiteford girls, Annie Gapp was seventh at 23:47 while Sarah Oberle finished 18th (26:16) and Sidney Miller 22nd (27:11).
“I’m really happy with how the season is coming together,” Whiteford coach Jay-Michael Yockey said. “We have some hard weeks of training coming up and hoping to see our times continue to drop and to improve our overall team standing.
