How to watch: The game will be livestreamed on BCSNNation.com
Whiteford player to watch: Shea Ruddy didn’t play the first time Whiteford played BD but is healthy and back in the Bobcat starting lineup. He has 717 yards passing and nine touchdowns this season.
BD player to watch: Nico Johnson leads BD in passing (428 yards) and rushing (548 yards).
Game notes: The young Bobcats are on a three-game win streak, including a come-from-behind win Friday to overtake Summerfield. The running attack has come on strong in recent weeks, thanks in large part to the Bobcats running behind All-State tackle Noah Bauman. BD has battled injuries all season with their only win coming against winless Pittsford.
Comments from Whiteford coach Mensing: “We feel blessed we get another opportunity to play … With the pandemic and all the challenges that we are all facing on a day-to-day basis the privilege of having this opportunity is special. I am grateful the state found an opportunity for all schools to get another contest and create memories. We hope we can continue to improve and extend our season as long as possible.”
Comments from BD coach Johnson: “It seems like every week we are plugging guys in. We don’t have a deep roster to begin with. When you are on your third starting tackle, it’s tough. The playoffs will be a challenge, but the kids have stepped up before.”
