OTTAWA LAKE — Friends and family gathered Thursday in the Whiteford High School gymnasium to celebrate senior sprinter Paige Thomas officially committing to Lourdes University, in Sylvania, Ohio, for track and field.

Thomas is a three-sport athlete for Whiteford who is a two-time state qualifier in track.
