Whiteford track teams have big day at BD’s Bob Beckey Invite

BRITTON — Paige Thomas had a tremendous meet Friday to lead the Whiteford entries in the annual Bob Beckey Invitational at Britton Deerfield.

Thomas took four firsts – winning the 100, 200 and 400 on her own, then teaming with Madelyn Thomas, Annie Gapp and Aubrie Simmons to win the 4×400.

Madelyn Thomas also won the 800 and took fourth in the 1600. Gapp was second in the 300 Hurdles and Kenzie Gray fourth in the shot put.

The Bobcat boys won the 4×400 relay with Ty Ruddy, Ryan Oberle, Dylan Anderson and Jacob Iott.

Anderson was second in the 400 with Iott placing third. Jack Emmenecker was third in the 200, Luke Murphy third in the 3200 and Noah Bauman was third in the shot put. Bauman was also fifth in the discuss. Keegan Masters was fourth in the 3200.
