PERRYSBURG, Ohio – The Owens Community College baseball team earned an NJCAA Division III, Region XII championship Saturday with a 7-6 and 4-1 wins over Delta College.

Whiteford graduate Ty Eitniear had an RBI in the first game and two in the second to help lift the Express to the Region XII title.

The Express (28-8) move on the Great Lakes district of the NJCAA tournament, which will be held Friday and Saturday at Owens.

In 24 games, Eitniear has 25 hits in 66 at-bats for a .379 average. The outfielder has four doubles and 19 RBI.

Eitniear played football and baseball at Whiteford, graduating in 2019.
