Bobcats sweep Bulldogs, finish TCC season with perfect 12-0 mark

PETERSBURG – Whiteford’s duo of Unity Nelson and Berlynn Keller combined to strike out 21 batters in nine innings Wednesday as the Bobcats closed the regular season with 8-0 and 15-0 wins over Summerfield.

The Bobcats finished 12-0 in the TCC and are 26-4 heading into Tuesday’s Division 4 Pre-District game against Britton Deerfield.

Nelson struck out 16 and gave up just two hits in the opener. Aly VanBrandt went 3-for-3 with at double, triple and four runs scored. Keller, Ambrelle Billau and Anna VanBrandt all had two hits.

In the second game, the game went just three innings. Kaydence Sheldon went 2-for-2 with a double and a triple for the Bobcats, who had 15 hits. Patrina Marsh also had two hits.
