ERIE — Whiteford beat Erie Mason in a five-set thriller Thursday to start the TCC season 1-0.

The Bobcats won 5-25, 25-18, 26-28, 25-21, 15-12.

Jessica Ulery had 13 kills and six blocks. Allison Spradling had 10 kills. Kenzie Gray had nine kills. Aly VanBrandt had 39 digs while Madelyn Thomas and Ava Hillard had 11 digs apiece. Alaina Andrews had 30 assists.

Whiteford improved to 3-6-2 overall.
