Whiteford’s boys placed fourth in the Larry Steeb Whitmore Lake Invitational Saturday as Keegan Masters placed second overall with a time of 17:52.8. He finished one second behind Erie Mason runner Jackson Ansel (17:51.8).
Whiteford’s Luke Murphy also made the top 10, coming in at 18:58.8. Zack Kahn (20:27.0) was 28th. And Ryan Oberle and Nick Oberle placed 39th and 40th.
“The boys showed up to compete in a very wet course,” Bobcat coach Jay Yockey said. “I’m really thrilled with how they all stepped up to compete today. Keegan Masters continues to be consistent, etching away at his goals. But Zach Kahn stepped up big for us today.”
Megan Butz got a PR in the girls race.
