Bobcats go to 5-1 with shutout win over Pittsford

Whiteford overcame a slow start in a big way, scoring three times in a four-minute span late in the first quarter and early second quarter to dominate Pittsford.

The Bobcats held Pittsford on its first drive, then scored on a 43-yard Jake Iott touchdown reception from Shea Ruddy to get things started.

Drew Knaggs, who rushed three times for 78 yards, scored on a 39-yard run late in the quarter, followed by a 34-yard pass from Ruddy to Jack Andrews just before the first quarter ended.

Cole Giesige and Ruddy added second quarter touchdown runs, then Hunter DeBarr returned an interception 36 yards for the final Bobcat score of the first half. Lincoln Joerin scored in the third quarter.

Whiteford had 417 yards of total offense, compared to just 58 for Pittsford.

Noah Bauman had a sack and two tackles for loss and blocked a punt. Ryin Ruddy had seven tackles for the 5-1 Bobcats.
