MORENCI — Whiteford’s boys basketball team is on a roll.
The Bobcats had its highest offensive scoring output of the season Thursday in beating Morenci, 81-55. It’s the most points Whiteford has scored in a game since February of 2018.
Cole Giesige led the Bobcats with 25 points. Luke Rasor scored points and Josh Hill scored 11.
Whiteford is alone in first place in the Tri-County Conference after Madison beat Erie Mason, knocking the Eagles out of the unbeaten ranks. The Bobcats are 4-0 in TCC play with home games against Summerfield and Erie Mason next week.
