Bobcats defense shuts down Bulldogs in fourth straight victory

MORENCI – Whiteford’s defense held Morenci to 20 points below its scoring average and came away with their fourth in in a row.

The Bobcats led throughout the game, leading 8-6 after the first quarter and 22-18 at halftime. Both teams were even in the third and fourth quarters.

Kinzie Kohler hit three of four free throws in the final quarter for the Bobcats.

Emily Rasor scored 10 points to lead all scorers. It was the first time all season she has reached double figures.

Anna VanBrandt made a pair of 3-pointers and finished with 8 points.

After starting the season 0-9 the Bobcats have gone 6-2.
