Whiteford baseball teams win first, beats Tecumseh 10-2

TECUMSEH – Cole Giesige pitched six strong innings and Shea Ruddy collected three hits as Whiteford topped Tecumseh, 10-2, for its first victory of the season Monday.

Giesige gave up five hits and two unearned runs while striking out eight Indians.

In addition to Ruddy’s three singles, Giesige had two hits, Logan Tammerine had two doubles and Carter Ruehle had a double. Luke Rasor had Whiteford’s other single.

Levi Hillard pitched the final inning for the 1-1 Bobcats, who travel to play Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central Friday.
