Keegan Masters placed third in the Blissfield Early Bird Invitational Tuesday at Gerber Park.
Masters completed the course in 17:21 and was third overall. Elliott Rodgers (18:20) placed eighth, Zach Kahn came in at No. 25.
The Bobcat boys were fifth as a team.
In the girls race, Annie Gapp was 19th and Emily Rasor 20th as Whiteford was fifth.
“Today was a tough race because courses at Gerber Park, no matter how you lay them out, are tough,” Whiteford coach Jay Yockey said. “But that’s the beauty of cross country, it’s not always about being the fastest. It sometimes is about being the toughest, but being the first one done as well, no matter what the clock says.”
The Bobcats run Saturday at the Whitmore Lake Invite.
