Whiteford reaches state championship game with 44-6 victory

BROWNSTOWN TOWNSHIP — The Whiteford Bobcats are headed to Ford Field to play for the Division 8 state championship.

The Bobcats beat Clarkston Everest Collegiate 44-6 Saturday in the semifinal game as Shea Ruddy rushed for 115 yards and four touchdowns.

The Bobcats fell behind 6-0 in the first quarter but came back on the ensuing drive to take an 8-6 lead and never looked back.
