Bobcats set records, win trophies at Hillsdale

At Hillsdale on Saturday, the Whiteford boys were second with 127 points, 17 out of first. The Bobcat girls were third with 128 points.  

Shea Ruddy won the sprinter of the meet award while Keegan Masters won distance runner of the meet.  Shea Ruddy was first in the 100, second in the 400, anchored the winning 4×100 and was the lead off leg in the 4×400.

The 4×400 relay team of Shea and Ryin Ruddy, Jake Iott and Dylan Anderson broke the school record with a 3:28.7. Masters broke the school record with a 4:26 in the 1600.  

Whiteford’s girls finished second in six events – Kenzie gray in the shot put, Ali Bauman in pole vault, Mackenzie Ulery in the 100, Alaina McLain in the 800, Annie Gapp in the 300 hurdles and the 1600 relay unit of Alaina McLain, Gapp, Aubrie Simmons, and Madelyn Thomas.  

“We had a great day across the board,” Yockey said. “We are just hoping to keep this momentum going into regionals.”
