Defense brings victory for Bobcat girls

BRITTON – The Bobcats jumped out to an early lead, outscoring the Patriots 18-2 in the first quarter, and never looked back.

“We played with great energy from the opening tip,” Bobcat coach Nick Brillhart said. “It was a total team win as the defense led the way. Our pressure was great in forcing turnovers and enabling us to get some transition baskets.”

Emily Rasor made three 3-pointers and scored a season-high 23 points for the Bobcats (8-5).

Annabelle Gapp reached double digits for the fourth consecutive game with 13 points.
