MONROE – Whiteford swept Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central Monday in a non-league doubleheader.

The Bobcats beat the Falcons 3-2 and 4-1.

Logan Tammerine got the win in the first game, going five innings and striking out eight. Logan Keane pitched the other two innings, not allowing a hit.

Keane had three hits in four at-bats, including a double, and scored a run. Tre Eitniear and Brendon Masters also had hits.

In the second game, Eitnear went all five innings, striking out four and allowing one earned run. Nate Stevens and Mason VanBrandt had two singles apiece.

The 6-1 Bobcats are scheduled to play Summerfield Wednesday in a TCC doubleheader.
