JACKSON – Whiteford brought home a sixth and seventh-place finish Friday at the Ralph Rice Invitational at Parma Western High School in Jackson County.

The Whiteford girls were sixth with 57.5 points. Olivet was first with 145.5.

In the boys competition, Whiteford placed seventh. Parma Western won the meet with 179 points.

Kenzie Gray threw a personal best 98-8 to win the discus with Nina Bauman throwing 91-9 to place second. Haley Luse was second in the shot put (30-9); Alaina McClain was fourth in the 800 (2:35.14); Annabelle Gapp was fourth in the 300 Hurdles (54.18); and the 4×800 Relay of Gapp, McClain, Briar Wing and Braelynn Chiotti was third (11:01.40).

Stepan Masserant went 12-3 to win the pole vault and have Whiteford’s highest finish.
