Bobcats win tough non-league game on the road

MADISON TOWNSHIP – Whiteford went on the road Saturday afternoon and picked up a 61-58 win over Adrian Madison.

The Bobcats held a double-digit lead most of the game but the Trojans scored 30 points in the fourth quarter to battle back. Late free throws by the Bobcats kept them in front.

“We played stellar defense for three quarters,” Bobcat coach Jordan Bollin said. “I thought the perfomance by our boys was really gritty and really was one of our best wins this year.”

Madison came into the game 8-5 and fresh off a win over 14-1 Onsted.

Cole Griffith scored 14 points to lead the Bobcats while Luke Henegar and Caden Schroyer scored 13 points each. Drew Ruddy hit four key free throws in the fourth quarter.

The 12-3 Bobcats are on the road Monday at Lenawee Christian, taking on the TCC-leading Cougars.
