
OTTAWA LAKE – Whiteford was clinging to a two-point lead with 5:34 left in the game but went on a 12-4 run to close the game and knock off Riverview Gabriel Richard 47-36 Monday in the opening game of the Division 3 district at Whiteford.
The Bobcats got 18 points from Macy Ovall and 12 from Avy Wood in the victory to improve to 7-15 on the season.
For Ovall, it was a career high in scoring. She also controlled the boards.
Richard came into the game 11-11 and closes the season 11-12.
