Bobcats fall to Pewamo-Westphalia

OTTAWA LAKE – Whiteford struggled to generate any offense Friday and fell to Pewamo-Westphalia, 35-0.

The Bobcats had just five first downs and 71 yards of offense. They completed 1-of-9 passes and averaged less than two yards a carry.

P-W, on the other hand, had 113 yards rushing and 98 yards passing.  Quarterback Luke Nurenberg threw for two touchdowns and running back Caleb Blyth had two rushing touchdowns.

P-W had 12 first downs in the game. They led 13-0 after the first quarter, 27-0 at halftime and added a third quarter score to make it 35-0.

Whiteford (0-2) is winless after two games for the first time since 2008. The Bobcats open Great Lakes Conference play next week at Hilltop.
