WHITMORE LAKE – Whiteford rolled to a 64-22 win over Whitmore Lake Friday as Thomas Eitniear threw for two touchdowns while Logan Murphy scored three times and Zach Bertz twice.
The Bobcats (4-0, 2-0 in the Tri-County Conference) scored 32 points in the first quarter. Murphy scored on a 51-yard run on the Bobcats’ second play and also finished the scoring with a 37-yard run. The leading rusher in Monroe County finished with 134 yards on the ground, passing the 500-yard mark for the season.
Eitniear threw TD passes to his brother, Ty Eitniear (42 yards), and Bradyn Clark-Gilmore (13 yards), giving him 28 for his career, tying a Whiteford career record. Eitniear completed 6 of 7 passes for 145 yards and had 56 yards rushing. The Bobcat offense scored on all nine of its possessions and had 453 yards on just 36 plays.
Jack Garrison had a big game on special teams and defense for the Bobcats. He was in on five tackles, including two sacks, and recovered an onside kick in the first quarter. Eli Shelton had 8 tackles for the Bobcats, who are home next Friday against Madison (0-4, 0-2).
Whitmore Lake got a pair of TD passes from Bryan Pasciak to Luke Burkhart. Pasciak had 80 yards passing on nine completions. Izaak Angel had 9 tackles for the Trojans (1-3, 0-2).
