Whiteford’s girls basketball team won its first game of the season Friday, winning its Tri-County Conference opener, 45-28, at Summerfield.
The Bobcats fell behind after the first quarter, but outscored the Bulldogs 27-13 in the middle two quarters to grab the lead. Whiteford allowed just two points by Summerfield in the fourth quarter.
Baylee Baldwin scored 19 points and Lauren Walker had 10 points. Baldwin hit a pair of 3-pointers.
The 1-2 Bobcats host Britton Deerfield on Tuesday.
BD beat Clinton 69-51 Friday.
