The Detroit Free Press annual All-State football team has been released and the state champion Whiteford Bobcats have three players on the first team.
The Free Press chose Thomas Eitniear as the offensive captain and first team quarterback with offensive lineman Lucas Tesznar and defensive lineman Jarret Atherton also making the Division 8 squad.
Matthew Taylor and Atherton were honorable mention offensive lineman.
The Free Press is the fourth All-State team picked this season. Combining all four teams – the Associated Press, Michigan High School Football Coaches Association, Detroit News and Detroit Free Press, eight different Bobcats received mention.
